As Paris Men's Fashion week wraps up, I took a look at the highlights from the shows, as well as shows from Milan, London, and New York. This season was all about color and graphics! Whether it was Marc Jacobs or Donatella at Versace bringing pops of color to a well tailored suit, or navajo embroideries resembling couture at the House of Balmain. i'm bringing you the most popular trends from the spring 2015 runways and sharing how to shop them so the fellas can not only stay ahead of this summer, but next summer as well!
1. DENIM DREAMS
2. COLOUR ME BOLD
It's time to brighten up for summer and I brought the most dapper way to do so! A man in a bold bright ensemble is always a statement, a very eye pleasing one. Summer 2015 will be filled with bright hues of pink, blue, yellow, and green. Marc Jacobs, Donatella, as well as the daring duo at Kenzo ( Humberto Leon and Carol Lim) set the example the best. I've decided to go for a bright sky blue suit which fits two SS15 trends since it has a eye catching print as well. Pair with a light pink shirt and bright tan belt and oxford for a more daytime feel, or stay in the same color scheme as the suit to go for the monochromatic look orginaly presented on the runways. Create that unexpected, but very attractive , color combination by accessorizing with a lemon yellow clutch or pouch and light colored sunglasses.
3. GRAPHIC LINES AND COLORS
While I'm sure Alexander Wang and Riccardo Tisci already drew inspiration from athletic wear (another big trend for menswear lately!) this season, I also tried to keep a more unconventionally stylish man in mind. I pretty much pictured a hot shot athlete at the front row of a show at paris fashion week. What turned out to be interesting was that I did utilize traditionally "feminine" ideas and pieces for this ensemble. Let the graphic lines and colors of spring 2015 mold your body to perfection by pairing a pair of striped meggings with a color blocked bomber and a leather button up for texture. Continue adding eye pleasing linear graphic by throwing on a pair of striped sneaker. To finish of the look and add the color block factor, accessorize with a simple, yet stylish bowler hat and a bold red pouch.
4. BLACK AND WHITE

Although, similar to the previous trend, this one can be a little more everyday. Givenchy, Alexander Wang, and Jil Sander (although jil Sander was more of a purple) were few of the many who dressed model head to toe in the classic color combo. Here is a very sexy, more "cruising around the city on vacay" kind of look that is more approachable to the less "risk taking" man. Take direct inspiration from the trend with an "airy" and relaxed fitting printed trouser balanced out by a badass biker jacket with a white scoop neck tee. Add that " summer sex appeal" (well, maybe just in my head) by stepping into a modern black strappy sandal. Lastly for the men who ARE daring, carry a black and white graphic pouch or clutch for added drama. P.S. , I love these Mcqueen "De Manta" clutches so much!
5.STRIPES

Although stripes aren't exactly the newest thing, they made a huge appearance on the runway. Favorites included Balmain and 3.1 Phillip Lim. The last outfit is a basic "sunny summer day" outfit. This trend i would say is the most universal. Start with a fine striped blazer and bring out your inner bold with a bright colored short. White espadrilles and tan accessories will have you resort ready!
I hope all the men are more confident and ready to jump ahead of this summer after this post! Remember , always wear what you think you look good in and makes you feel like "the MAN." Enjoy summer!
