Four Beauty Essentials to Make Your July 4th Boom!

with the 4th of July festivities right around the corner set for this Friday, all the fashion conscious are packing and heading out to their patriotic weekend destinations! While most are focusing on what to wear while celebrating, I've decided to list the 4 most important things to keep in your to-go bag to keep your face in tip top shape this independence day.

Not that I think lipstick is the top thing one should be worried about while on carnival rides or at a BBQ in the July sun, but theres still nothing like a strong red lip! Chanel's Rouge Allure lipstick comes in a variety of shades ready to pick from in order to achieve your perfect summer look! I chose shades #98, a classic red for a classic american pinup look , #96 for a standout warm summer look, and #114 for the softer more natural gal. How to pair these? I say pair shades #98 and #96 with a softly shaded eye, slightly heavier brow, mascara, and bronzer, and soft curls. Impeccable! #114 would look effortless with a messy updo complimented by soft shimmery eyes, black liner, and a minimal stroke of bronzer and blush!

I believe sunscreen can get way overlooked especially by people who have never experienced skin damage due to sun exposure, but better safe than sorry! Shiseido's 'Ultimate Sun Protection' Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ has been a beauty cult product as far as sun protection goes for quite some time now! I say it does a great job at staying non-oily throughout the day and can perfectly go on before any makeup, but beware the strong white cast it can leave behind if not left to sink in properly. I suggest applying before going out under the sun and before makeup application.

So your makeup is looking nice at the county fair or the big family party, but what to do when you get oily and your makeup kit is at home? Surely, M.A.C's blot pressed powder will significantly reduce shine while not adding any extra color or coverage to the face. This savior in a compact comes in a spectrum of 5 shades to best suit you. To further reduce shine, pack a blot film pack and you're matte again!

Yet another beauty junky favorite makes the list. The balm gives a "satiny" look to the lips while repairing any damage done to them. Previous customers have said it, "repairs well" , and "does wonders." I couldn't agree more! Plus, you'll probably need this after finishing that delicious bag of popcorn or to get that perfect pout ready for the perfect smooch while ending the day with fireworks!

Wishing everyone a exciting, fun, and fabulous upcoming 4th of July! Also, don't forget to follow this blog. Once LCC reaches 50 active followers, I will host a giveaway with exciting prizes!
